Billing and Invoices
How paying for Mockomat works: who can manage billing, how prices are shown, how to buy, change and cancel a plan, and where your invoices are. For what each plan includes, see Account and Plans.
Where to find it
In the app, open Account → Billing. Your plan, the plan actions and the cancellation options are there. Payment method, invoices and billing details open in the billing portal, a secure page run by our payment provider, Stripe.
Who can manage billing
Only the owner of a workspace account can change the plan, update payment details, see invoices or cancel the subscription. Other members see the current plan and a note that billing is managed by the owner, without the billing actions. If you need a change, ask the owner.
Prices
- Paid plans are billed monthly in euros. There is no annual billing.
- Prices are net: they are shown without VAT, and VAT is added at checkout based on your billing address.
- The current prices are on the pricing page. The app shows the same prices.
- Guest and Starter cost nothing and need no payment details. (Some screens in the app still call Starter "Free".)
- Enterprise is priced on request; custom plans are free (see below).
For business customers only
Paid plans are sold to business customers: companies, freelancers and organisations, not consumers.
- Before checkout, you confirm that you are buying on behalf of a business. Without that confirmation the checkout does not start.
- Checkout asks for your billing address and your VAT ID. Where Stripe supports VAT IDs for your country, you need one to complete the purchase.
- Your company name, VAT ID and billing address appear on every invoice. You can change them later in the billing portal.
Buying a plan
- Choose Professional or Business: on the pricing page in the app, with Upgrade on Account → Billing, or by picking a paid plan when you sign up.
- Confirm that you are buying as a business.
- Pay in Stripe Checkout. Mockomat accepts cards only.
- Back in the app, your workspace switches to the new plan within a few seconds after the payment is confirmed.
If you leave the checkout, nothing is charged and your workspace stays on Starter. When you sign up for a paid plan directly, your account starts on Starter and moves to the paid plan when the checkout is complete; you can restart the checkout from the app.
One subscription per workspace
A workspace has at most one subscription. While it has one, including one whose payment is still pending or has failed, you cannot start a second checkout. Change the plan instead (next section). If a payment is pending, complete it in the billing portal.
Changing your plan
Plan changes between Professional and Business happen in the billing portal:
- Open Account → Billing and pick the plan you want, or use Switch plan on the pricing page in the app.
- The billing portal opens with the plans you can switch to: Professional and Business.
- Review the change in the portal and confirm it. The portal shows the new plan and its price before you confirm.
Your workspace moves to the new plan as soon as the payment provider applies the change. Enterprise cannot be chosen in the portal; contact sales instead. Moving to a plan with lower limits removes no members or projects: if you are above a limit of the new plan, adjust your workspace to fit (see Account and Plans). To leave paid plans altogether, cancel the subscription (below).
Invoices, payment method and billing details
All three live in the billing portal. On Account → Billing:
- Open invoices shows the invoices and receipts of every paid period, ready to download.
- Update payment method changes the card used for the next payments.
- Edit billing details changes your company name, VAT ID and billing address.
Mockomat has no separate invoice page. Before your first paid subscription there is no billing account yet: the app tells you so when you open one of these links.
Cancelling
On Account → Billing, choose Manage cancellation and cancel the subscription. The subscription ends at the end of the current billing period: you keep your plan until then and are not charged again. Afterwards your workspace continues on Starter.
When a payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, the subscription shows Past due and Stripe retries the payment automatically over the following days. Update your card in the billing portal to fix it. If the last retry also fails, the subscription ends and your workspace moves to Starter.
Deleting your account
- When the owner schedules the account deletion, the subscription stops renewing right away.
- The account is deleted after a grace period of 14 days; the deletion dialog and the confirmation email show it. Signing back in before then undoes the deletion, and the subscription renews again, unless you had cancelled it yourself before.
- When the deletion completes, the subscription is cancelled.
- Cancel & delete account on Account → Billing cancels the subscription at the end of the billing period first.
- A member who deletes their own account does not affect the owner's subscription.
Enterprise, custom plans and add-ons
- Enterprise is not sold online. Use Talk to sales in the app or the contact form; pricing is on request. See Enterprise.
- Custom plans: a custom plan is a free plan with every feature and limits arranged with our sales team, activated with an inquiry code. Paid arrangements go through Enterprise. Accepting a custom plan immediately cancels the workspace's paid subscription, if it has one. How to activate one: Account and Plans.
- Add-ons (extra API calls, higher limits) are available on request from our sales team.
